Hunting is Dougs favorite thing in the world to do, ok maybe his second favorite thing to do! But this year Christmas came early for him when he found this big buck his last scouting trip the weekend before the hunt.
We have more pictures of him than we do our children. I chose to only share two with you!
Please pay close attention to Dougs face, yes that is a smile, a genuine teeth showing smile. It occured just after he found the buck he was scouting and got him!
Here it is him smiling with his BUCK!
He had a bow tag so for those of you who do not hunt that makes it a bit harder, well a lot harder to get one. So I really was not worried about having to find more space on my basement wall for
another animal, but lucky us this thing will be there soon!
His little brother Mark, got this one three days before Doug, but he was in a different hunting area! Doug was feeling some pressure and still thinks his little brother out did him. But they both have the biggest grins I have ever seen before!!!

Geez cheeser! You are right! I've never seen him smile that big in family pics!
I have only seen Doug smile like that after he looked in the mirror at his really good haircut (s) j/k I'm glad he got the big one! Maggie is still in Skylar's class, but we were up in Morgan the day of registration. So we went the next day. And now it's almost 11 pm and she is so dang sick, so I doubt she'll make it tomorrow:( I am so bummed, maybe she have a miracle during the night. 2 hours ago, her fever was 103.7--so we may be at the Dr??
P.S. What is Doug's
first favorite thing
to do?
Once again...congrats Doug, I don't know who I was happier for, You getting your buck...or Kami getting a husbad back. You crack me up with your hunting fetish, but I am happy for ya!! way to go.
p.s. did you seriously kill that thing with a bow? or did I miss understand? If so I have to admit that is absolutely amazing to me!
HOLY COW! We are jealous around here. My husband is also a bow hunter. That is a beauty! I love the velvet, it is my favorite. My boy's room is filled with antlers, but I would love to have one like this in their room. Good job, Doug! Where does he hunt?
